In order to gain a wider insight and advise customers on issues that are indirectly related to internationalization, Carsten Wortmann Global has established an Advisory Board. The Board comprises of a group of professionals with a background in areas relating to international business solutions. Again, we follow the principles of mutuality and partnerships, enabling us to introduce new ideas to both ourselves and our clients.

Dr. Klingmüller is an experienced lawyer in the field of International Business Law (including transnational real estate transactions, environmental law and commercial contracts, particularly for logistics companies). In addition, Dr. Klingmüller has extensive experience in providing legal services for Transport and Logistics companies. For example, she is responsible for the relocation of a main transshipment basis for an international courier company, and the subsequent expansion involved in this process. She studied at the University of Bayreuth and the University of Munich (Ludwig-Maximillians-University) (1st and 2nd state examinations), Cape Town (South Africa), and Duke University (LL.M. 1993) Durham, North Carolina, USA. She was awarded a Doctorate in the field of Sports Law from the Westfälische-Wilhelms Universität, Münster, and the Visiting Scholar University of California at Berkely (Boalt Hall) (1997).

In addition to extensive experience in the areas of Marketing and Sales, Johannes Rettig has a specialized understanding of Knowledge Management and Research. His duties include identifying and addressing target customers, along with implementing and overseeing the „Go-To“ Market Strategy. He specializes in the development of national and international projects, and is also the co-author of several studies, including „Paths to Growth: Economic Stimulus through Innovative Corporate Finance“, and „Technology, Talent and Tolerance: How Sustainable is Germany?“ Mr. Rettig’s international contacts and connections to medium sized companies, in addition to tax advisors and auditors from the Ernst & Young network, mean that he is well placed to establish valuable contacts for us and our clients in both Europe and Asia.

Born in 1965, Andreas Walkenhorst is a founding partner of TERGAU & WALKENHORST law firm. He completed a degree in Physics with a Major in Lighting Technology and Solid-State Physics, before going on to receive a Doctorate in the field of Superconductivity and Magnetism from the Technical University of Darmstadt. After completing a research period at the prestigious University of Maryland (College Park, USA), Andreas trained as a patent engineer at Siemens AG, where he supervised fossil fuel, nuclear power plant and turbine technology. He was employed by the Tergau & Pohl law firm in the year 2000. He then founded the TERGAU & WOLKENHORST law firm with Dietrich Tergau in 2011, and is now in charge of the Frankfurt am Main office.

Areas of expertise: national, European and international patents, utility model, design and trademark law, employee invention law, licensing contract law, competition law in the fields of technology, trademark and design, as well as portfolio management, strategy consultancy (advice on start-ups, assessment of business plans, application strategies), due diligence assessments, evaluation of property rights.
